Human Resources Specialist
Location: Corporate Office - 2051 Franklin Way, Marietta, GA 30067
Reports To: Human Resources Manager
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Purpose of the Position: Provides service and support to employees and managers for Human Resources issues throughout the company. Primary Job Duties: Ensures the company is in compliance with all regulatory agencies and laws. Coordinates, plans, and provides HR training and education to the management team. Updates and maintains HR policies and processes to develop standard operating procedures for the company. Provides assistance and guidance regarding employee related issues. Processes and responds to the Department of Labor on all unemployment claims and correspondence. Conducts new hire orientation as well as all internal HR audits. Coordinates and administers corporate employees drug screens, background checks, physicals, and MVR documents. Continually implements and recommends new practices and standards in the HR department. Completes special projects at the request of management. Manages the onboarding of new hires and facilitates employee separation process. Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times.
Secondary Job Duties: Serves as a backup to others in the HR Manager and HR Benefit Specialist as needed. Completes employment verifications as needed.

Education/Experience Preferred: College degree or 2 years previous experience in the HR field
